A few weeks back, DC's Black Adam released in cinemas alongside action roleplaying game Gotham Knights. It looked like dark day for the franchise with generally unfavourable critic response to the film, and mixed but quite savage reviews for the game from several major publications. Today on Rotten Tomatoes, Black Adam sports a 40% critic and 90% viewer score. Only half a world between those.
Early review scores for newly released action role-playing game Gotham Knights vary. Some love it but several major and trusted gaming sites have alarmingly scored it at or below 5 out of 10.
Having had a day play it and before that, a day to watch streams of console players while we waited for its Steam launch, we reckon we know why and tentatively suspect the game might be proper genius.
Perfectly timed to coincide with the launch of action roleplaying game Gotham Knights, though set in different universes, HBO have released the trailer for season 4 of Titans.
In the series, Nightwing / Dick Grayson (who also features in the game) is played by Australian actor Brenton Thwaites.
It has been a right proper rollercoaster week for soon to launch open world action roleplaying game Gotham Knights, with a range of remarkable 11th hour reveals from developer Warner Bros.

It's probably not a coincidence that on the same day we get a Gotham Knightstrailer telling us to think of Alfred as part of the Batman family, we get the season 3 trailer for Pennyworth: The Origin of Batman’s Butler.
We don't think game and series are part of the same DC universe, but that doesn't mean Warner Bros. can't hope for a bit of cross-promotion.
