Screen Rant have interviewed Laura Birn, who plays the 20,000 year old android Eto Demerzel in Apple's Foundation series.

Hers is a fascinating character.

Easily one of the more complex and original androids portrayed on screen.

Interestingly prior to landing the role Laura hadn't been a sci-fi fan and had no knowledge of the books.

She details that she's coming into sci-fi from two directions -  this role and also her young son's newfound passion for Star Wars.

Without giving away any big secrets, she let's us know that she has one

When asked what she thinks her character makes of Hari Seldon's predictions, she responds that she's listening and remembering and:

She will use that information when she needs to. And I do have some little secret that David Goyer has shared with me, but which I can't and will not share with you now, but we will come back to that question later on if we continue making this show for a long time, which I wish we will do.

Apple have already announced a season 2 renewal but we might need a few more to get us to this secret.
