A potentially credible leak for Marvel's Midnight Suns tactical card roleplaying game pegs its release date as October 6 and confirms Spider-Man and Scarlet Witch as playable characters.

In addition to the leaked box art being slapped with a copyright infingement takedown - which lends credence to its legitimacy - a surprise Marvel announcement earlier this week makes much more sense in light of the leak.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will be coming to Disney+ on June 22.

A mere month and a half after it's May 6 cinema release.

We posited a few theories about what might have motivated this curious decision but an early October release date for Midnight Suns and the addition of Scarlet Witch as a playable character suggest that Disney is hoping to boost Midnight Suns sales.

Doctor Strange was already known to be a playable character.

If the leak is true then we'd expect an official announcement about its release date very soon.

Marvel's Midnight Suns is expected to release this year on PC, Xbox, PlayStation and Nintendo Switch.
