Sony have released a state of play trailer for one of the more unusual upcoming games that we're aware of.

One in which you play a stray cat in a futuristic earth peopled by robots.

And as seen in this trailer, some of those robots are laser firing would be cat-killers.

It follows the story of a stray cat who falls into a world populated by robots, machines and viruses and sets out to return to his family.

We wonder if this is falling in the literal, gravity bound sense from some place above or if this cat comes from another world?

There's not long to wait to find out as Stray launches on PC and PlayStation on July 19.
