The Callisto Protocol game director Glen Schofield isn't the only developer forced to backpedal this week in response to being behind the times.
Warner Bros. free-to-play online 2D fighter Multiversus had included an ability which allowed Velma - of Scooby Doo - to summon a police car to take away another player.

Bloomberg reporter Jason Schreier took aim at studio director Glen Schofield for a tweet in which he talked about 12-15 hour work days and that being a labour of love.
Crunch time in game development is a hot button. Glen swiftly apologised.

Action roleplaying game Cyberpunk 2077 has just rolled out a major update titled Edgerunners which ties in with the Netflix Cyberpunk: Edgerunners anime series releasing on the 13th.
Most notably this update includes a wardrobe / transmog system and on PC, the long-awaited official mod tools called REDmod.

We've commented on soon to launch souls-like Steelrising on a few occasions as a possibly interesting retrofuturistic steam-punk alternate history France action roleplaying game. Quite the mouthful.

2K have released a new character trailer and also a generous 18 minutes of gameplay from their upcoming interactive narrative New Tales from the Borderlands.
We don't have time to watch their gameplay video but the Gamescom trailer was excellent and the kind of quality we had expected when this title was first announced in April.

With anime series Cyberpunk: Edgerunners debuting on Netflix this month, many would expect some kind of promotional tie-in with the action roleplaying video game Cyberpunk 2077.
Developers CD Projekt Red have teased as much with a short video advising fans to tune into their next Night City Wire on September 6 at 5 p.m. CEST (September 7 at 1 a.m. AEST).
