Titans Season 4

Perfectly timed to coincide with the launch of action roleplaying game Gotham Knights, though set in different universes, HBO have released the trailer for season 4 of Titans.

In the series, Nightwing / Dick Grayson (who also features in the game) is played by Australian actor Brenton Thwaites.

Prodigy, our favourite of the current Star Trek's (the only one we watch) returns next week and unsurprisingly Paramount have released a teaser.

We were however taken totally by surprise by the preceding release of co-op action adventure platform game Star Trek Prodigy: Supernova.

Tudum Ta-Da

While Netflix has a respectable and growing science-fiction library and those titles were present in their Tudum fan event, there wasn't much in the way of substantial sci-fi news or footage.

Hellbound - which we're not sure yet is sci-fi - was renewed for a second season. We got a teaser for They Cloned Tyrone, which looks much less sci-fi than its name might lead you to believe. Plus a teaser for a new anime series Moonrise.

The Power of the Doctor

In the latest Doctor Who Magazine, the title of Jodie Whittaker's final episode has been revealed as The Power of the Doctor.

Sacha Dhawan (the Master) features on the cover and the headline is Absolute Power.

Avenue 5

HBO have released the trailer for Avenue 5's second season and given it an October release date.

In May Deadline reported that the series was unlikely to get a third season but it hasn't been officially cancelled.

Revisiting Rice

We didn't realise AMC were developing a new series based on Anne Rice's Interview with the Vampire until we saw its trailer.

First thought on seeing it - don't remember anything overtly sexual between Tom Cruise's Lestat and Bradd Pitt's Louis in the 1994 film.

Next month new sci-fi horror anime series Exception will join Netflix.

Is its trailer exceptional? We're getting more of a mixed but possibly above average vibe.

There's more to it than just the missing boyfriend mystery teased with the poster.

Emmys Bust

While Apple's Severance headed into the Emmys with an impressive 14 nominations, it won only two in the Creative Arts Emmys.

Outstanding Main Title Design - Oliver Latta and Teddy Blanks - and Outstanding Music Composition for a Series (Original Dramatic Score) - Theodore Shapiro.
