A trailer for the next A Quiet Place film has been released, revealing more of the origin story behind the aliens who hunt using sound that was only hinted at in previous films.
A Quiet Place: Day One isn’t completely a prequel as it jumps about the series timeline frequently. But the horror of initial hours of the alien invasion underlying the series is shown in graphic detail, focused on Sam played by Black Panther’s Lupita Nyong’o. She’s joined in the cast by Stranger Things' Joseph Quinn.
The director of the first two films in the series, John Krasinski, isn’t back for Day One which is instead directed by Michael Sarnoski. It seems likely Krasinski will return for A Quiet Place Part Three which is currently in development and expected next year.
A Quiet Place: Day One is due in cinemas June 28.
