He-Man is back, with Netflix dropping a new animated series this January.
Masters of the Universe: Revolution is the latest adventure in a series that began in the eighties to promote a line of toys. Since then it’s picked up a cult following and now the cast is jam-packed with sci-fi and fantasy celebs including Star Trek’s William Shatner, Star Wars’ Mark Hamill and GoT’s Lena Headey.
Revolution is a sequel to 2021’s Masters of the Universe: Revelation but the focus has shifted from Princess Teela to Prince Adam/He-Man and his struggles with Hordak and a newly mechanised Skeletor.
Meanwhile plans for a live-action Masters of the Universe feature have been dropped by Netflix although Amazon/MGM are reportedly interested in picking the project up.
Masters of the Universe: Revolution releases on Netflix January 25 with five episodes.
