On an otherwise relatively uneventful day for sci-fi news, DC Comics have announced that on November 9, Superman will kiss another man.

Today is national Coming Out Day in the USA.

To be clear from the outset, this isn't Clark Kent. It's his son, Jon. Clark is offworld indefinitely and Jon is currently wearing the Superman outfit and serving in that role.

He will kiss another man. That's happening.

Russell T Davies is presently under fire in the media over remarks he made about UK Culture Secretary Nadine Dorries and it is being associated with Doctor Who.

For example, DailyMail have published an article titled:

Dr Who writer Russell T Davies launches a foul mouthed rant at new Culture Secretary Nadine Dorries and calls her a 'big f*****g idiot' after BBC nepotism comments.

To begin with, this incident has involved no direct communication between Davies and Dorries.

In the categories of things which can you make feel small and something cool you don't see every day, we have this image from NASA's Hubble Telescope of two galaxies interacting with the collective designation of Arp 91.

Astronomers believe that such interactions will eventually result in the formation of an elliptical galaxy over a period of hundreds of millions of years.

Adding to our very long list of new trailers to have dropped recently is Star Trek: Discovery's season 4.

This season brings us Burnham in the captain's chair, facing down a five light-years wide spatial anomaly which threatens all life in the galaxy.

Sounds like a typical day for a Starfleet captain.

A new trailer has been released for the upcoming animated series, Blade Runner: Black Lotus.

It includes many elements we'd expect.

Cyberpunk city visuals with Japanese ads heard playing in the background and seen in the foregrounds. Flying cars. Philosophical musings. Robots being mistreated. And it ends with a bloody, "I'm going to kill them all."
