If you were surprised by the recent announcement that Paramount were planning to enter negotiations with cast for the eternally trapped in development Star Trek 4, you're not alone.
According to The Hollywood Reporter most of the actors and their representatives didn't know this was coming - that they'd be shooting a film this year.

Destiny 2's trailer caused a stir for its inclusion of something which looks suspiciously like a lightsaber and in Netflix's new clip from The Adam Project, young Adam pulls a small tubular device from old Adam's bag and asks, "Is this a lightsaber?"

Train to Busan and Hellbound director Yeon Sang-ho will create a new fictional universe with South Korean gaming company Smilegate who are known for online shooter Crossfire and just recently released in the west, free-to-play online roleplaying game Lost Ark.
They plan to make games, films, TV series and webtoons.

During a Parmount Investors Day presentation, J. J. Abrams announced that they are planning to enter negotiations with the original Enterprise cast of the reboot films.
That's Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Zoe Saldana, Karl Urban, John Cho and Simon Pegg. Anton Yelchin who played Checkov died in 2016.
