This week in Australia, Mortal Kombat, which released in cinemas last year, joined Netflix.

It's fantasy / sci-fi - there's a fellow with cybernetic arms in the trailer - and regarded as a bit of a bomb with critics but interestingly even in the midst of the COVID pandemic managed to be HBO's most successful film launch up to that point.

Eternals on Disney Plus

About a week ago, Eternals became available on Disney+.

We haven't had the opportunity to watch it in full yet but have seen the first half hour and it doesn't impress. Not that our expectations were high based on its low critic scores at cinema release, which have dropped even further since then from 71% to 48%.

Discovery on Top

Paramount have released a list of their top shows in various categories and Star Trek: Discovery was their number one watched original.
