Universal have released a trailer for their mysterious upcoming sci-fi horror film, Nope.

This Super Bowl trailer is the first footage they've released for it and it succeeds in terrifying.

Jurassic World Dominion

Just a few days, Jurassic World Dominion released their official trailer and we were impressed.

Their Super Bowl trailer is a slightly shorter version of that with maybe a few seconds of new footage.

Marvel have released the official trailer for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and it's attracting a modest amount of interest.

Currently second highest trending across all of YouTube.

US Super Bowl Trailers

You may or may not know but advertisements during the annual US Super Bowl (football final) are a big deal. Trailers are also on the menu which we'll visit indivually.

But before we go there it's worth mentioning that according to Variety two sci-fi film trailers nabbed 3rd and 4th positions in YouTube gameday views - Jurassic World Dominion and Nope.

Electric Man on Amazon

A sci-fi film which has picked up a bundle of awards from indie festivals is now available on Amazon. It's called The Electric Man.

The press release says available now and Amazon have a webpage for it which can be found via google. That google result has an image from the film and an accurate synopsis but the webpage itself is blank.

DC have released a 2022 film teaser and it didn't excite us at all.

We've watched it several times. Including some unknown character telling us she has goosebumps.

The Adam Project

Netflix have released a trailer for The Adam Project and it looks mostly good.

As noted in the trailer, it's by the same director, star and producers as Free Guy which was loved by critics and audiences. We enjoyed it.

Sony's Shaktimaan

Sony have announced that they're developing a new superhero film based on popular 1990s and 2000s Indian superhero TV series, Shaktimaan.

This is noteworthy not just for being a new superhero film but also for tapping into Indian popular culture.

Nominees for The 94th Academy Awards have been announced and largely thanks to Dune, sci-fi is well respresented.

Dune came overall second for number of nominations with ten behind The Power of the Dog with twelve.
