The Los Angeles Times reports that Netflix has announced a deal to acquire Vancouver visual effects studio Scanline.
Scanline has worked on Netflix titles including their recently released Cowboy Bebop, seasons 3 and 4 of Stranger Things and their upcoming film, Don't Look Up.

We recently reported on a rifle from the original series of Star Trek selling for US $615, 000 (US). At the time no-one - including us - realised that this was a new record for Star Trek, beating the previous record holder of an Enterprise D model which sold at a Christie's auction for $576, 000 (US) in 2006.

Netflix have released a trailer for their upcoming film, Don't Look Up.
The trailer shows the two main characters reporting an imminent cataclysmic asteroid strike to the US President and being brushed off. Then where they go from there.
