Star Trek 4 Delayed

Earlier in the week we learned that shooting for the next Star Wars film, helmed by Patty Jenkins, had been delayed.

But its ETA of December 22, 2023 hadn't, possibly indicating that someone else might be taking over that project.

Elex 2 Release Date

THQ Nordic have announced a March 1 2022 release date for their futuristic post apocalyptic RPG Elex 2 on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series S/X.

They describe it as "science-fantasy". Players have the choice of medieval or advanced technological weaponry and also magic (like) or psionic abilities.

Lost in Space 3 Trailer

Netflix have released the official trailer for season 3 of Lost in Space.

In it we see the parents have all been captured by the robots and are being kept alive.

Expensive Toys

TrekMovie.com report that over the weekend, a whole bunch of Star Trek: Original Series props sold for eye-watering prices.

Topping those was the phaser rifle held by Kirk during his first episode which sold for $615, 000 US ($834, 000 AU).

Prodigy Renewed

Paramount has announced that Prodidgy will get a second season.

Ambiguous language in the description of the original deal was generally interpreted to mean it was initially being developed for 2 seasons of 10 episodes each.

Tiny Tina Stands Alone

Popular sci-fi shooter Borderlands 2 has re-released one of its DLC, Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep, as a standalone title on PC, PS4 and XBox One.

Costing $14.95 (Oz), it's also free until November 17 (Oz) on the Epic Games Store.

Dean Stockwell Dies

Well known to sci-fi fans for his roles in Dune (1984), Quantum Leap, and the Battlestar Galactica reboot, actor Dean Stockwell has died in his sleep of natural causes.

Science-fiction often doesn't fare well in entertainment awards, but he impressively received 4 Primetime Emmy nominations for best supporting actor plus two Golden Globe nominations and a win for his Quantum Leap role.
