Rubicon Rises

FromSoftware's fantasy action roleplaying souls-like Elden Ring was one of 2022's major hits so when they finally unveiled the long rumoured Amored Core VI at The Game Awards in December with a trailer and a 2023 release date, that was huge.

Great trailer but no info. Until Now. At the Tapei Game Show producer Yasunori Ogura gave an interview (video - transcript).

The Last of Us Delayed

The PC port of originally PS5 exclusive The Last of Us Part I has been delayed from March 3 to March 28 for the standard want-the-game-to-be-its-best reason.

Could there be other reasons? Always possible but to our eye this short delay probably won't make much difference.

Secret EA Game Canned

Alongside the six week delay of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor a few days ago was another unannounced development at Respawn Entertainment - the cancellation of an unannounced game.

Following delivery of a disappointing outlook for current quarter revenue a single-player game based on the Apex Legends and Titanfall properties codenamed Titanfall Legends was dropped.

Batgirl a No Go

Newly installed DC bosses James Gunn and Peter Safran were queried about the Batgirl film axing while unveiling their plans for the new DC Universe.

Swiftly putting to rest any notion of the nearly completed but shelved film being revived under new leadership.

The Rig Renewed

Midgard Times who routinely report series renewals ahead of official announcements courtesy of production scheduling or activity tell us that Amazon's The Rig is gearing up for a second season.

We are more than slightly surprised. It's not a great show. Average and unremarkable.

Jedi Pushed Back

Action adventure souls-like Star Wars Jedi: Survivor's release date has been pushed back six weeks from March 17 to April 28 with the standard polish reason.

Curious that they didn't delay another week until May the 4th, Star Wars Day.

The Day Delivers

Previously second most wishlisted game on Steam behind Hogwarts Legacy and ahead of Starfield, open world zombie apocalypse multiplayer shooter The Day Before recently delayed its release from March 1 to November 10.

Cries of the game being fake abounded. We paid them no mind but skeptics now have a 10 minute gameplay trailer to chew on.

Futuristic, high tech post-apocalypse.

ExeKiller Gameplay Reveal

One of the very first games covered on only our second day of this blog was retro futuristic western action adventure game ExeKiller.

After going dark for a lengthy period to transition to Unreal Engine 5, its developers Paradark Studio have resurfaced with a pre-alpha gameplay trailer.

Looking Atomic

Nine minutes is pushing the bounds for a game trailer but the gameplay overview trailer for upcoming alternate history action roleplaying game Atomic Heart is excellent.

Looks stunning, informs without boring and leaves you eager to play it.
